Trace brought home the first fish!

Saije coundn't sleep last night and woke up off and on all night. DHe finally got up for good at 5:00 am and walked the beach alone! We stayed at the eagles nest and so she had been watching for the Eagle to come in. She spotted 2 Eagles comming in and took the video camera and got some footage of them. THey let her get so close that she could hear them talking to eachother. When she came back Andrew was awake and the took the dogs on a walk and saw a couple of seaotters and the dogs found to star fish. Trace and I woke up and he rode his bike and made a jump. As people came by he told them to stay off the track. They all loved the Suburban and talked about it for a while and asked questions then went away totally amazed.
We loaded up and stopped at the Homer spit fishing hole and at the inlet it is snag only. They don't eat anything so you throw in a huge hook with a steel ball on it so it sinks and you snag them and reel them in. Trace got to bring a 2 pound "Jack" in. It is a small salmon but good to eat. We ledft for Ninilchik which was 45 min. up the road and stayed on the ocean. We had to get Ice so we stopped in at the Inlet View Restraunt and Lounge. Andrew laked to the owner of the bar and got a gig on Tue. and Wed. for tips only. Then for 100.00 on Friday. Thank goodness! We are low on cash flow! When we got back to camp we rode the wheelers and Copper got ran over by a horse! I don't think that he has ever seen a horse before, at least you would think that was the case. Ate stew for and buiscuts for dinner and went to bed as I told them the story of Hadolgo!
