A day in Ninilchik
Today we went to takeshowers , Laundry and Post todays blog at the Library. We have met alot of very nice people while we have been in Ninilchik. While I was doing laundry Lars, Saije, and Trace went to the fish tables and checked out what the catch of the day. Today it was clams. There was a man named Eric and he and his wife were cleaning clams and took the time to show us what we were instore for. Tomorrow we will be digging for clams. The tide will be 1.4 which is really good. In 2 weeks it will be even better, 4.6. I wish that the rest of the girls could be here to experience that. We also met a couple from Farmington, UT. This is their third time clamming this week. The tides have been great. After the laundry was done we stopped over to the I.V. (Inlet View Restraunt). That is what the locals call it. Lars will be auditioning for a gig. Well when we went in he did his sound check and the owner Mike hired him on the spot. He also bought us lunch and introduced us to Lori Jo w/Kenai Penninsula Borough School District. She mentioned that they also are looking to hire a Music teacher. I told her that next summer if they are still looking that we should see if we can get an interveiw with the Principal. Along our travels we have given out our blog spot to many people thtat are interested in our adventure to King Cove. We went to watch Lars play for the 2 hours and he did very well. He made $80 in tips, on a Tuesday!
