Saije graduates!

Well the day has finally arrived! Grandpa and Grandma Larsen flew in to graciously support our Babie Bird. Friends and family gathered at one of our dear friends house for a Chicken Fettucini diner in her honor. Saije requested my homemade Carmel Pecan Cheese Cake and Key Lime Pie. I think we all gained 10 glorious pounds! (and it was worth it) We also attended the awards assembly which Saije recieved 2 scholarships toward her college and another scholarship to attend Rural Alaska Honors Institute for the summer. She will recieve 9 credits upon completion in Molecular Biology and a bunch of new relationships along with a dorm life experience. She has been hiking, kyaking, taking a swimming class to prepare her for the Coast Guard someday and how to kick it Alaska Style!
Saije has been accepted has been accepted to UAS in Juneau, AK. She is Majoring in Science and going to a Minor in Art. We are so glad that she is so close to home, we will miss you Saije!
For entertainment, Marilyn and Lowell got to watch Trace cross the finish line in the 100 and 200 yd dash. He took the 100 yd dash with no problem. In the 200yd dash he raced against a 6th grader, the boys were neck in neck and Trace's foot crossed the line 1st! He is quite the athlete. Go Muckster!
