Mosqito Blood Bank!
Slept in till 12:00, broke down camp-and headed to the Hot Springs! As we were walking down the board walk people were running but not screaming so we never thought to much about it. As we came to the springs the blood fest began! Trace and Lars jumped in to the scallding pool and quickly moved to the lower pool/cooler pools. Saije and I thought if we cound get into the dressing room we could escape the the horror! Wrong-O!
We changed as quickly as possible and jumped in! After the heat rejuvinated us we ran back to the truck! That's why everyone was running! I bought a bumper sticker " Let it be known that there is not a single mosquito on the Alaskan Hwy - They are all married and have huge families!" We stopped at Watson and hung up our Utah License plates and signed all our names on it! We rode motorcycles and 4 wheelers at swift creek and the dogs loved it! The mosquitos are big and plentiful!

A day to remember!
While Lars was putting in the fuel pump at our temp. residance at the Western Camp Ground in Fort Nelson, BC. The lady that checked us in told us to take or camo truck and hide! Trace, Saije, and I took a shower (7 min. for 1$) and hit the sack. There were alot of sirens all night & once again We woke up in the rain forest we packed up as quick as we could and went to get gas. At the station Lars went to get his wallet and it was in a really good hiding place. We almost had to call Marilyn or Lisa! Just kidding! The Lady in the the store told me that I should have control of the $ for know on. SHe called him a nasty man! I think that is a bad thing in Canada!A few min. down the road we overheated had to fix the timing and then stopped for some home made ice cream it was awesome. We saw a Caribou and a Dall sheep. After coming down a steep grade we came across a bridge and around a tight corner and lost our left rear tire and I do mean the whole tire, lugs and all! The bolts were sheared off as well. Lars got to go fishing in Canada after all- FOr our tire! Up the road aways A bear crossed the road and that made finding the tire alot more important. He found it in Toad River waist deep!
As we were coming into Liard Hot Springs we saw a Grizzly Bear with 2 cubs. They were so beautiful. We set up camp ate stew and Bisquits and went to bed at 1:00 am.

Diesels Suck!

He is on vacation too.Packed up and headed out at 7:30am got gas for the hundreth time and hit the road. We are listening to Micheal Martin Murphy! Trace loves it and sings along in his own words! We have rewinded the song "Never given up on love" 5 times.Just saw a mommy moose the size of the Burban. Stopped by the Sasquatch Crossing. Trace and Saije were a little freaked out, but decided that they should keep an eye out just in case the stories are true. Muck wanted to bring home a footpring just to prove it! We reached Fort Nelson were I am at the Library right now! We Had to go to the Auto parts for a little visit. Our fuel pumpo went out, but we were able to get into town ok. Our prayers are paying off Marilyn! Well gotta go fix the Burban Gypsie!

Rested and ready to go!
Woke up at 8:00 am. Jacuzzied one more time and hit the road at 9:00am. Needed to exchange some $ so we gas and food and hit the road at 10:00 am. Finnaly we were enjoying more scenery and Dad plugged in some music, Leroy Parnell and Trace loved the beat and coundn't help but start singing. He made up the words with the ones he knew from other songs and kept us entertained. We hope to reach Dawson Creek with little or no rain. When we watched the news last night we were glad to find out that we chose the best route to devert from all the flooding! So much for getting some good driving time in. Yea we are having great weather but now it's raod construction! Rock Chipping to boot! While stuck in the construction we ran into the grocery store and saw a jar of pickled eggs and the water was rust brown not green, Grose! We arrived in Charlie lake 55 miles north of Dawson Creek and stayed the night. We did some laundry for the first time since we left Lisa and CJ's. ROad the 4 wheeler back and fourth til 12:00 am! Oh the sun dosen't go down until then! and comes right back up at 12:01 am!
Soaking Wet Without a Towel
We woke up to a stready rain and packed up soaking equipment - gassed up and headed out for Prince Geprge, Canada. On our way we saw Elk, Deer, Grey Timber wolf, a Black Bear, and Ferocious winds and rain. Our load is riding better so now we can average faster speeds. We reached Prince George @ 5:00 pm. Stopped into the visitor center, located a hotel, "Eco Inn" Got the suite w/jacuzzi and ordered in pizza. As the rain cleared for about and hour we took the dogs for a walk, got them watered and feed and went to bed!

Got the summer itch!
We woke up with about 50 mosquito bites between us all, stopped itching @ 11:00 am long enough to to pack up and head to Jasper Nat'l Park. Driving through the mostr beautiful place on earth. We stopped at Bridal Veil falls and met some people from Colorado who had been to Heber for the Olympics, Cool. They are mving to Alaska also. Nice people, they told ua alittle about Homer and got us more excited. We slept at Wapiti cam ground. All campgrounds are right off the HWY! Nice place until we came back from the bathroom and had a bunch of stuff missing! 4 coolers and a bucket of food! We thought we had been robbed, but relized that they must have found out that we were the Andrew Larsen family (AKA escaped convict family) and left us a warning for leaving food on the table with bears in the area! Lars went to retrieve the food and got a but kicking from a lesbian pshyso hitler wannabe! He explained that we went to the restrooms and back mut she didn't care. Hammy called her a really stupid lady and she shut up and left! Meanwhile Cherie and Saije went to get Ice and some groceries and found out how in hospitable Canadians can be. She had to take 4 trips to the car because there was a one way road and road construction on the other road in. We went to bed and to the sound of the breeze and Cherie's night time stories.

No sleep for the wicked!
Woke up to alot of dew, wet carpet and those damn black birds! Went for a walk while Muck and Bird rode their bikes down a huge grass hill and around the camp ground. It's crazy to see Trace ride a bike let alone watching him race down what could possibly be the most awesome tubing hill if there were snow! I did get it on video to prove the he did it without wrecking. After breakfast and getting packed up we hit the showers and Trace did some dog watching and visiting with the local folks. Andrew was listening to the convo that Trace was having and the man asked him where he lived and he said Utah. He asked him where he was going , he said Alaska. And he asked what part? And Trace replied, Alaska! (I thought it was good of him not to tell a stranger the exact details! Good job Muck!) Well thanks for watching my dog, said the man.
Off we drove down the HWY at 10:30, there are some beautiful views and some awesome jagged mountains- some snow capped and some not but alot like the Tetons. Alot of water also. Everywhere you look, Water! Every mile a new lake! We stayed the night at Mosquito Creek campground, apthy named. We had dutch oven potatoes and steak. Mtn's are spectacular and the streams are very cold and clear! Like a glass of water! There are huge glaciers hanging from the mountains, sometimes 300 to 400 ft. thick!

Audios USA
We took off from Haden, ID. from CJ and Lisa's house at 9:00 am (We love you guys!).
Crossed the Canadian Boarder at 1:00 pm. Turned in our paper work, threw some apples away- because you can't take them into Canada & headed on our way. We drove down HWY 95 until we saw a sign that said Radium Hot Springs. We all decided that the hot springs sounded great after a gruling day behind the wheel, so we took the exit. Well little did we know that we were traveling in a humungous circle and didn't know how to get off it! Are we in COsta Rica? On the map there was no HWY 93 & we got a little nervous so we turned around and decided against th soothing heat of the Hot Springs. Well after turning around a few more times and getting directions from a girl that looked like Jocelyn, we found out that we were on a fuck around! That is what they truely call it! I hope no one gets their feelings hurt! Sorry! Thank goodness she told us that because dad was ready to freak! Well we drove until 6:00 pm and did stay at the Hot SPrings but wouldn't ya know it!, NO HOT SPRINGS! But alot of damn black birds, they never shut up!

Coolin' it in Coer d'Alene
Well we reached Coeurd'Alene, ID at 1:30 this morning, crawled into bed and slept untill 10:oo am! That is the latest we have slept in all year! We got to visit over waffles Then rotated the tires and checked the load in the trailer. Everything looked good except the junk strung out in front of CJ's home! Lisa asked Andy nicely, "Get your #*!% off the street! All we needed was a hose and Andy standing out on the street yelling, "the #$%*@& was full!" Not a pretty sight. Well Andy and CJ went fishing. Lisa, Saije, Trace and I took Bry to the airport to catch his flight to Vegas and visit his Grandma Warren and go to Shakespear and cousin week with Grandma Larsen. While we were in Spokane, we went shopping and stopped by Krispy Kreme's and watched them make doughnuts! The Muck was totally amazed! Did you know that if you eat a doughnut and then take a drink of a regular soda or a diet soda that it ruins the flavor of the soda because of the amount of sugar in that doughnut! YUCK! I'll stick with my pepsi and forget about the doughnuts! CJ and I went fishing on the CoerdAlene river . It rained all day and at times it was coming down really good. THE fishing was off and on . We ended up catching quite a few small cutthroats and enjoying scenery you can only dream about. On our way out a bull moose escorted us down the road a few miles and dove in to the trees.

~*ROAD-TRIP*~
We woke up at 6:30AM. loaded up are bags and hit the road at 7:00 A.M. We drove on highway 80 and came around our first big turn and realized that a fish tail wasn't somthing you eat, it was somthing that made you hold on to your seat and it was one scary ride! So mom decided that it was her turn to drive, and she learned the fish tail too!, And we all survived! We saw alot of pretty country through Idaho and Montana and dad wanted to fish at every hole. All the way Trace kept saying, "are we still Idaho?" and..... "Are we still in Montana?" And as we entered into Mossoula we passed a huge herd of buffalo, and one buffalo was scratching it's back on the advertising sign, they are so cool!!! After that we headed up two huge passes and mom had to drive! By the time we reached Bry's Mom was ready to die! She is so glad that we don't have to drive that again, EVER!
